Welcome to Woodward.  We hope you enjoy visiting our website to learn about the advantages of a Woodward School education.

Founded in 1894, Woodward educates talented and hardworking girls in Grades 6-12, in an inspiring college preparatory program, with a mission to honor and cultivate each student’s academic and personal potential as scholars and citizens.

We appreciate your interest, as you seek a school that will be a match for your daughter and family. Woodward believes that an all girls’ setting is the right educational environment at the right time, providing unique opportunities for girls to learn, lead and contribute in an inclusive, collaborative, academic community. 

Woodward’s faculty inspire students to achieve in small classes, with a 10:1 student-teacher ratio. The academic program offers a classical curriculum focused on knowledge, reason, problem solving, and fluency of expression in all disciplines, enhanced by outstanding visual and performing arts, information technology, programming and electronics, athletics and extracurricular opportunities. Each student is valued and respected. Students establish lifelong friendships and student faculty relationships, and our active and accomplished alumnae are committed to supporting and mentoring the current student body.
