The first day of school and orientation is Wednesday, September 8th, 2010. The Middle School begins at 8:30 AM with orientation and the Upper School begins at 9:30 AM. The Woodward Community barbecue begins at noon. We hope everyone has had a safe and enjoyable summer and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Woodward Students Attend MJCL Convention

     Bright and early on the morning of Saturday, May 8th, members of the Classics Club headed off to Worcester for the annual Massachusetts Junior Classical League Convention. The Woodward School Women of Distinction Award was given to Dolly Di Pesa and Mary Hurley at a gala celebration

Thursday's Women of Distinction Award Celebration  on Thursday, May 13, 2010 was a great success! With over 300 guests and all former honorees in attendance, the Woodward community enjoyed a wonderful evening in support of Woodward and this year's women of Distinction, Dolly Di Pesa and Mary Hurley.

Woodward Wins Playoff Game Against Landmark, Headed to Championship Game

The Woodward School Wildcats defeated Landmark School in the IGC semi final tournament game on Thursday, May 13th. Freshman pitcher Emma Whatley (Randolph) threw a one hitter while striking out 10 batters. The Wildcats provided a potent offense and great defense; resulting in a score of 14-1. The championship game against Brimmer and May School will be played on Monday, May 17th at 3:30 PM. (Continued...)

Anatomy & Physiology Students Visit Harvard

The Anatomy & Physiology class attended Harvard University in the spring and participated in a lab exercise on "Reporter Genes in C. elegans". The Howard Hughes Medical Institute provides funding for this program. The girls observed differences in five strains of C. elegans. They also performed a behavior lab observing the differences between wild type and mutant C. (Continued...)

Woodward Closes Regular Season with 6-2 Conference Record

On May 10, our Woodward Wildcats defeated conference rival Chapel Hill Chauncy Hall School, 24-2, closing the regular season with a 6-2 conference record and 8-5 overall. Freshman Emma Whatley (Randolph) threw her third no-hitter of the season allowing two unearned runs. Attorney Wendy Murphy Speaks to Upper School

Wendy Murphy, attorney, victim's rights advocate, professor and author, spoke to Woodward's Upper School community on Thursday, April 29th. Wendy is a former prosecutor who specialized in child abuse crimes and other crimes of violence against women and children. Woodward Wildcats Win Back to Back Games

The Woodward Wildcats Softball Team won back to back league games May 3rd and 4th, vaulting them into sole possession of first place in The Independent Girls Conference. Freshman pitcher Emma Whatley of Randolph pitched her second no-hitter of the season leading her team to a 16-0 victory over visiting Landmark School.
