Woodward’s girls’ varsity basketball team competes in the highly competitive NEPSAC Class D. Committed to building upon an already rich tradition, the program boasts 8 Girls Independent Conference Championships, multiple undefeated seasons, and a NEPSAC Final Four appearance. The program is founded on principles of hard work, accountability, integrity, and selflessness.
Woodward's Basketball Team competes in the New England Preparatory Scholastic Athletic Conference (NEPSAC), Class D, Girls Independent League (G.I.L.). The Woodward Basketball Team has attended 8 Girls Independent Conference Championships, maintained 2 undefeated basketball seasons, participated in 1 NEPSAC Final Four, and participated in 1 Girls Independent League Final Four.
Traditions that are passed down every year are important to the girls' soccer program:
- Pre-season workouts begin in the fall
- At our annual athletics banquet, individual athletes and teams are recognized for their contributions during the season
- Championship Team Banners are hung at school to recognize team success
- Occasionally, exceptional student athletes numbers are retired and hung at school to honor their achievements
